ONCE UPON A DOG...

After a long run of the corporate life, I needed to do something different. I wanted an opportunity to work for myself and be the one benefitting from my hard work. As I have always had a love for animals, I focused on what path I could follow centering around them. I started with a small Etsy shop baking holistic, all natural dog biscuits and treats. Upon seeing the positive response to my products, I decided to take it a step further and open a dog boutique centering around these homemade goodies. So my beloved schnauzer, Sophie, and I made the leap. The Landlocked Dog was off and running in the summer of 2011. At the same time we welcomed a schnauzer rescued from the south into our lives. In honor of our new shop, she was named Lani.

I soon started adding hand stamped dog tags to my Etsy shop and boutique. They took off and I had found my true passion. I started hand stamping in the stop but soon found I could not bake, run the store and stamp. Something had to give… After much soul searching, adding three more pets to my little pack and running numbers, I decided to close the store and begin hand stamping full time from my home. 27,000+ sales later and with the addition of many more types of items for people, as well as their pets, I found my dream.

The LandlockedDog strives to make items that you will treasure for a lifetime. Whether it be the tag that helps your lost furbaby get back to you, the keychain that your child presents to his dad on Father’s Day or a momento of a special time in your life, know that care and love went into the making of that item. I use high quality American made materials. Each item is carefully stamped, letter by letter, to make the perfect, personalized keepsake for you to proudly gift, or keep!

I love what I do, and hope that you do too!
